As many of you know, Jenna Sauer is fighting a courageous battle with cancer. As one of WinSport’s Skate School Team Members, she needs our support to help offset the financial costs of her battle (the drug she needs to take costs $9,000 per month).
As part of Jenna’s family’s ongoing fundraising campaign, the WinSport Skate and Hockey School is hosting a fundraiser which includes a skate, snacks and raffle prizes—with all proceeds going to the Sauer family.
Date: Friday, June 2, 2017
Where: WinSport Arena
Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Cost: $20 adult / $10 under 18
The ticket includes admission to skate from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, one beverage (beer or non-alcoholic drink), appetizers, and entry for a door prize. Appetizers and beer will be served in the Molson Canadian Hockey House from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

In February of 2016, while most Grade 12 students were busy choosing graduation gowns and applying to universities, Jenna Sauer was diagnosed with Mixed Germ Cell Ovarian Cancer. Since then, Jenna has battled courageously through three surgeries, 11 cycles of chemotherapy, including two high doses which were followed by stem cell transplants. Medical experts have advised that the next step in Jenna’s journey is to take Cotellic. This drug is not covered and comes at a cost of $9000.00 per month. Many of you have asked how you can help and these offers have been deeply appreciated. We are hoping to help the Sauer family offset the financial expense of this treatment.
