Interested in coaching AA Ringette?
Starting May 1 and closing May 31, 2017, we will be accepting Head Coach and Assistant Coach applications for the upcoming 2017-18 season. Coaches need to apply in writing, and have the required certifications or be capable of completing them by December 15th of the playing season (please see more info below).
For the upcoming season, Calgary AA has received approval to form the following teams:
- U14 — 3 teams, 15 skaters and 1 goalie each
- U16 — 3 teams, 13 skaters and 1 goalie each
- U19 — 2 teams, 13 skaters and 1 goalie each
The Head Coaches Selection Committee
Consisting of independent evaluators, the committee will select Head Coaches by the end of June. The committee is made up of at least four members that may be comprised of: the Calgary AA President, a Senior Ranking Referee, a Veteran +18AA Player, a Veteran AA Level Coach (inactive), a Veteran NCCP Coach (external to ringette), Ringette Calgary (RC) League Director, RC VP Technical, or RC Past President. Selection criteria includes previous coaching experience at the AA or A level in ringette, feedback from prior seasons, and commitment to the objectives of the AA program.

All Calgary AA Coaching staff are required to review and complete the following requirements:
- Ringette Canada – Coaching Certification
- Ringette Calgary – Coaching Requirements
- Calgary Police Check – How to Obtain a Police Information Check (PIC)
Head and Assistant Coaches need to apply by September 30, and provide receipt to VP League
