2017-18
Close on the heels of a hard-fought season, our Calgary AA teams strive to compete at Provincials, Westerns (U14AA) and Nationals (U16AA, U19AA). As these events approach, check back for results and highlights.
For our older divisions, it was the final, final stand for two of our U16AA teams, one U19AA team and the NRL Calgary RATH. In this huge, competitive and intense week-long tourney, U16AA Team Alberta battled hard, and finished 10th in their division. U16AA Surge took it all the way to the exciting final match vs Team Manitoba (Angels). Playing at the Home of the Winnipeg Jets (MTS Bell Centre), Surge claimed Silver (finished 2nd)! U19AA Team Alberta won Gold in their consolation final and finished 9th in their division. The Calgary RATH dug deep and landed 4th out of 8.
Wait, there’s more…congrats to the NRL Calgary RATH for receiving the Agnes Jacks True Sport Award. This award, voted by their peers, signifies their exceptional sportsmanship, something they should be very proud of.
And last, here are our athletes honoured to be named to the 2018 CRC All-Star team:
Congrats to all teams for an incredible week of ringette!
