Coach Selection

Interested in coaching AA Ringette?

Help support high level youth sports! Head Coach and Assistant Coach applications are open between May 15 and June 12, 2022 for the 2022-23 season. Please apply in writing per the instructions below. All coaching positions must have the required certifications or be capable of completing them by December 15th of the playing season.

To apply for AA Coaching position for the U14, U16, and U19 divisions:

• Submit either a Calgary AA Head Coach Application or a Calgary AA Assistant Coach Application.
• Coaches must also provide a current PIC along with a Calgary AA Screening Disclosure Form (if the PIC is not newly completed) to the .
• If you do not have a current PIC, please provide your proof of PIC application along with a Screening Disclosure Form as soon as possible.
• Any assistants named over the summer (not part of the initial coach selection process) are required to submit a PIC (along with a Screening Disclosure Form if not newly completed) by the start of Fall Tryouts.

For the 2022-23 season, Calgary AA is tentatively planning for the following team formats, which are subject to change:

U14 — 3 teams of 15 skaters, 1 goalie
U16 — 3 teams of 13 skaters, 1 goalie
U19 — 2 teams of 15 skaters, 1 goalie

The Head Coaches Selection Committee
Head coaches for all AA teams shall be selected by a Head Coaches Selection Committee chaired by the Calgary AA President or designate and consisting of a minimum of three (3) of the following individuals:

• Senior ranking ringette referee
• Veteran +18 AA player
• Veteran AA level coach (inactive)
• Veteran AA Committee Member
