U14AA Tournament Results 2023/24


Calgary AB:  Gold for U14AA Blue at the Esso Golden Ring Tournament

Jan 19-21 - U14AA Blue, White and Red welcomed teams from across Western and Central Canada to Calgary for the 38th Annual Esso Golden Ring Tournament.   All three teams battled hard in round robin play with Blue taking top spot in the White Pool and booking a ticket to the Sunday semi finals.   In the semi's, Blue edged out Saskatoon to earn a spot in the finals against Central Alberta, who won a close game against Edmonton.  The Sunday final was an exciting, back and fourth affair with Blue holding off Central Alberta by a goal to take home the Gold.  Congratulations on the big win!

Leduc AB: Gold for U14AA White and Bronze for Blue at the Edmonton Wood Tournament

December 1-3 — U14AA Teams Blue, White, and Red journeyed north to Leduc to compete in the annual Edmonton Wood Tournament. All teams fought hard through intense pool play with White and Blue finishing first in their respective pools.  In the semi's, White proved to be the stronger team beating Edmonton and earning a spot in the finals against Zone2, who outlasted Blue in the other semi final.  The final was a back and forth affair with each team exchanging goals in the first period and heading into the second period locked at 3 goals a piece.  In the second period, White scored two quick goals and then held off a fast charging Zone2 team to take home the Gold.   In the Bronze medal game, Blue played a hard checking, penalty filled game against Spruce Grove.  At the final horn, Blue edged out their provincial rivals by a goal to earn them the Bronze.  Congrats to all three teams for a strong performance.

Saskatoon, SK: Gold for U14AA White at the Bernadette Price Memorial Tournament

November 10-12 — U14AA Teams Red, Blue and White journeyed into beautiful Big Sky Country to lock horns with 9 other teams from across western and central Canada. All three teams fought hard through intense pool play with White finishing first in pool C and earning a spot in the A-Side semi-finals. In the semi's, White proved to be the stronger team, beating Edmonton and earning a spot in the finals against St. Albert.  The final was a back and forth affair with White edging out St. Albert for the gold - a great weekend of ringette!
